Aircraft Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Well-Known California Shoreline
An aircraft flying above a well-attended California shoreline abruptly started spinning uncontrollably, finally descending rapidly and crashing into a line of palm fronds as spectators looked on.
Videos shared on social media show the chopper starting to spin near the shoreline then descending towards the perimeter of the shore, where it ends up lodged between palm groves and a steps near the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Update
Emergency responders reported five people were transported to a medical facility including a pair who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” following the incident on Saturday.
Three people on the street were hurt. Information on their condition were not yet released.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.
