Chelsea defender in action

Trevoh Chalobah emulated his brother Nathaniel in playing for England, emerging as the 21st duo of siblings to earn caps for the England side.

The Chelsea defender is set to be added to the Three Lions selection to replace injured Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

The 26-year-old footballer is scheduled to join the national side for England's remaining World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania, but it has yet to be made public.

The England team have already booked their place for the upcoming World Cup.

Chalobah was given his initial selection under England manager Thomas Tuchel in May and then made his debut against Senegal.

In the month of September, Tuchel said Chalobah was unfortunate to be excluded from the selection for qualifying games against Andorra and Serbia, and also did not select him for the next October fixtures.

Tuchel has been an significant figure in Chalobah's career, having awarded him his Chelsea first appearance in the year 2021.

Chalobah has featured in almost every games for Chelsea this season, with the team in third place in the Premier League, in the Carabao Cup last eight and in the group stage of the European competition.

Guehi picked up a foot injury in Crystal Palace's Europa Conference League win over AZ Alkmaar last week.

There are expected to be additional additions to the team. Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has announced that both winger Anthony Gordon (hip) and goalkeeper Nick Pope (concussion symptoms) will be unavailable from the national team.
